Steve McMahon, Kenny Dalglish’s first signing for Liverpool. Born and bred Scouser he earned the praise from Bob Paisley who said ‘When Steve McMahon plays well, I always think that Liverpool will play well’ Won 3 League Titles and 2 FA Cups with Liverpool
Alan Kennedy, The British record signing for a left back in 1978, transferred from Newcastle United for £330,000. In 359 appearances Kennedy won 5 League Titles, 4 League Cups and 2 European Cups scoring the only goal against Real Madrid in 1981 and the winning penalty in 1984
