Being a lifetime sports fan and
having enjoyed a long and successful career in finance and politics I believe I
am well placed to write this brief foreword for such a brilliant, innovative
project. Playonpro is a unique business concept that gives the opportunity for
retired top-flight sports men and women to extend their working careers.
Playonpro enables a seamless extension of a playing career upon retirement as a
professional. Playonpro owns all content using its own digital platform with
unlimited access and distribution via social media platforms. Playonpro owns and
operates its own Ambassador app which is exclusive to professional sportsmen and
women of all ages.


 



The Playonpro Concept & Social Media Connection


Playonpro has identified a need which
so far has been ignored or at best only partially recognised – that many sports
professionals face serious challenges after they retire such as mental health
and financial security. Playonpro has created a business model which helps
tackle such problems and helps to generate more financial security and
profitability through its exclusive, extensive networks and the use of the
latest social media tools. Playonpro currently has over 125 million aggregate
social media followers through its Ambassadors (the Sportsmen and Women who have
joined playonpro). We have already signed 500 plus Ambassadors from footballers,
golfers and international cricketers, to rugby players, motor racing drivers,
jockeys, athletes, snooker players badminton and tennis players and former world
champion boxers. Playonpro assists with their transition to a brighter future,
creating a generation of masters - critically noting, for example, in
professional football the changes in pension fund rules mean retired players
face an income gap between the ages of retirement to 55 years of age.


 



Social Media


In less than two years playonpro has
already established itself as a major social media player. Our presence is
across multi platforms which enables effective penetration. Today our
ambassadors have over 125 million followers, projections over the next five
years show that rising to 500 million as we grow our ambassador community
globally. Two years after launch playonpro has a core of 70,000 social media
followers with an annual reach in excess of 7 million. Our social media
impressions have reached as high as 21% in association with Viv Anderson. Our
expectations over the next five years show our followers increasing towards half
a million, with an incredible 42 million annual reach. The projections are based
on today’s baseline factoring in our current growth expectations and key events
such as the Euros 2020 and the World Cup 2022 campaigns.


 



The Exclusive playonpro app


Most players/athletes start to lose
their connections with their fellow pros when they retire, but the playonpro app
keeps them connected with each other. Playonpro has identified connection
opportunities by developing a secure, invite-only, networking app for all
sportspeople, both active and retired and creating multi sports related video
content which keeps them in the limelight. The App hosts a growing number of
well-known and successful sportsmen and women and provides a networking group of
unique individuals. Internal support and reconnection opportunities, special
offers and services for Ambassadors on the App, a genuine directive to generate
work opportunities and an ongoing revenue stream through the App (and ultimately
through the Fan Platform), all contribute to make the playonpro App one of the
most unique sporting communities available. Discussions are ongoing in various
countries to license the App (potentially with the Fan Platform in local
language). Currently and as we move forward this will give playonpro tremendous
revenue opportunities, as the UK App is replicated globally. The App was
formally launched in December of 2017 and already has over 500 Ambassadors, all
being either retired or currently active sportsmen and women who have played at
the highest level. Among our footballer Ambassadors alone we have over 6,000
international caps, 200 Premier League medals, 140 FA Cup and 120 Champions
League medals. As the App grows with its Ambassador numbers and increases its
profile, so does the opportunity for sponsors, business partners and friends of
playonpro to participate. This can be through sponsorship, creating
opportunities, brand Ambassador work and social media programmes. Our current
and growing band of Ambassadors has a social media presence of over 125 million.


 



Commercial Opportunities


As playonpro increases its number of
Ambassadors, so it will increase its social media reach. By the end of 2019 our
projected 750 Ambassadors, will give an estimated combined reach in excess of
175 million. By 2020, our targeted 2,000 Ambassadors will increase our reach to
beyond 300 million. Early engagement rates are encouraging, a recent Viv
Anderson tweet drew over 1m impressions within 3 days. Engagement was a

How We Work


Playonpro is unique. Since the launch
in September 2017 it has made great strides in establishing itself in the global
sporting arena. Its long-term nature creates many business opportunities that
will generate significant, profitable cash flows once the project develops
further. Playonpro has formed a ground-breaking partnership with the Redstrike
Academy (a world class football academy development globally) which gives
playonpro access to an elite, pre-designed academy model to roll out across the
globe. The programme aims to deliver elite facilities, training and player
development for the youth of the world, with the focus on ‘emerging’ football
nations benefitting from the increase in World Cup numbers from 32 to 48 in
2026. This offers playonpro Ambassadors elite coaching opportunities and the
partnership with playonpro and Redstrike facilitates a wider global reach for
both entities. The first Academy in Vietnam has engaged Ryan Giggs and Paul
Scholes on the technical and coaching side. A second academy has been signed up
in Capetown, South Africa, with further potential academies in Johannesburg,
Finland, Romania, Turkey, Albania, South Korea, Ivory Coast, China and the
Bahamas.


 



Management Team


A Board consisting of executive and
non-executive independent members is responsible to shareholders and other
stakeholders. Playonpro is managed by an Executive Management Team encompassing
financial, sports and digital content expertise.

CHAIRMAN PETER JODLOWSKI
Peter is a UK Chartered Accountant with many years of global multi sector
experience. He has recently worked with some of the world’s largest corporations
including Dubai World, Emirates Investment Authority and Kingdom Holdings. Peter
specialises in fund raising, financial management, commercial and growth
management. Peter is a Co-Founder of playonpro.


VICE CHAIRMAN AND CEO VIV
ANDERSON MBE
Viv is an English football coach and former player. Born
in Nottingham, he played for England, Nottingham Forest, Arsenal, Manchester
United and Sheffield Wednesday. He is also notable for being Sir Alex Ferguson’s
first signing at Manchester United. As of 2005, Anderson has been involved in
running a successful events company called NWE Global and works as a goodwill
ambassador for the Football Association, plus many other footballrelated
charities including Kick it Out, the Arthur Wharton Foundation and many others.
Viv is a Co-Founder of playonpro.


NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
EVAN MERVYN DAVIES BARON DAVIES OF ABERSOCH, CBE
Labour government
minister until May 2010 as Minister of State for Trade, Investment and Small
Business. Davies was chairman of Standard Chartered PLC between November 2006
and January 2009, having been chief executive between 2001 and 2006 and a
director since 1997.


 


The playonpro management team is an
efficient and focused group which is active in promoting the brand of playon and
creating a successful business model for the benefit of all stakeholders. The
combined experience across multiple sectors allows the team to guide playonpro’s
business growth in accordance with playonpro’s vision and aspirations.


INTERNATIONAL CONSULTANT:
BILLY GARTON
Billy is a former professional football player who played
51 times for Manchester United and is a former teammate of Viv Anderson. Billy
has an honors degree in education and has used this to great effect in a career
that has seen him be very successful as a professional youth Football coach.
Billy has lived in San Diego in the United States for 17 years , where he was
involved in building and developing a number of very successful football
Academies. He also was successfully involved in a number of start up companies
and helped grow them significantly , as owner and co founder and part of a
leadership team. He recently returned to England and has joined PlayonPRO.


SALES DIRECTOR: PAUL
BANKS BSc
Paul has an impressive depth of expertise in the logistics,
planning and delivery of success with Manchester City where he was a crucial
part of the behind-the-scenes team that won two Premier League titles, two
League Cup triumphs and the Champions League 2016 semi-final, one of his
responsibilities off-field was support to Sergio Aguero and his family.
Previously he worked at FMCG Sales & Marketing - delivering key Budweiser deals
with Premier League clubs including Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea
and Arsenal.


SENIOR ADVISOR: DAVID
DAVIES OBE
David Davies OBE worked in football at The FA from 1993
until 2006. His career there began as Head of Public Affairs, but he quickly
rose to be Executive Director and led the organisation three times as Acting
Chief Executive through a number of turbulent years. He worked closely with four
successive England Senior Team Managers, Terry Venables, Glenn Hoddle, Kevin
Keegan and Sven Goran Eriksson. He retired from The FA after the FIFA World Cup
in Germany, 2006. Since then, he has worked around the world nurturing top
football and business leaders in amongst other places, South Africa and the
Middle East. He was awarded an OBE by Her Majesty the Queen in 2006 for services
to Sport.


SENIOR MANAGER: FIONA
ARMSTRONG HALL
Fiona read Jurisprudence at Pembroke College, Oxford,
qualified as a chartered accountant with KMPG and worked for AstraZeneca in
international finance.


IT SERVICES: MARTIN
TURNER
Martin worked with IBM, HP, Manchester City Council, Cheshire
County Council, ICI, BBC, Weston Point Studios in IT support, field service and
account management.


ADVISOR: TREVOR STEVEN
Football talent scout and former England player who won titles in three
countries with Everton, Olympique de Marseilles and Rangers. He played in two of
England’s most famous matches since 1966 including the world cup quarter-final
against Argentina at Mexico 86 and the semi-final against Germany at Italia 90.
Trevor is also recognised for his media work, particularly with BBC, BEIN Sports
and RTÉ Sport.

Fan power, fan interaction in a
variety of ways, and the ultimate fan experience, are at the heart of playonpro.
We will bring our ambassadors closer to their fans and conversely, fans closer
to the ambassadors on our digital platforms and on social media. For the Fans,
By the Pros, remains our playonpro mantra. Trademark licenses are under process.
We are endorsed by the UK Department of International Trade and are part of the
Britain is Great Sports series developed by the British government.
