Left Midfielder, Alan Moore, made over 118 appearances for Middlesbrough over a ten-year spell between 1991 and 2001, winning the Championship in the 1994-1995 season. Described as the Ryan Giggs of the North East during his time, Moore had a further spell with Burnley before returning to his native Ireland with Shelbourne. In 2004 Moore had helped Shelbourne to retain League of Ireland Premier Division title for the first time in their history in 2004 and won it again with the Dublin club in 2006.
